Un reportaje titulado Yo Decido, en el que se discuten ángulos sobre el debate migratorio de cara a las elecciones, es el tema principal en la edición del 5 de marzo

El debate provocado por las leyes migratorias es el tema principal que presenta la revista TIME en su edición del próximo 5 de marzo, con la primera portada en su historia con un titular en español que lee: Yo Decido.

La nota de portada tiene como punto de partida el hecho de que la comunidad latina puede convertir a Arizona en el campo de batalla presidencial durante las próximas elecciones. De ahí, la idea de poner en la portada una composición de fotos con rostros de votantes latinos que residen en dicho estado.

De acuerdo con los planteamientos del escrito, el debate final de los aspirantes a la candidatura presidencial de los republicanos tendrá como escenario a Arizona, epicentro del debate nacional sobre inmigración. Así que cuando los cuatro candidatos tengan su turno al micrófono, inevitablemente serán cuestionados sobre este asunto, al que deben responder con suma precaución.

A lo largo del escrito se discute la importancia que tiene para cada sector ganar el favor del electorado latino y se ofrecen citas de líderes comunitarios que sirven como portavoces de estos grupos. De cara a las primarias, la retórica de los candidatos tendrá una gran influencia en las elecciones generales, podría decirse a modo de resumen.

La familia Gómez Bolaños sigue creciendo. Su nueva integrante se llama Lola.

Roberto Gómez Bolaños publicó en su Twitter una foto en la que aparece con una perrita chihuahua en brazos, a quien presenta como la nueva integrante del clan.

La foto ha sido muy comentada por sus seguidores, quienes han enviado todo tipo de piropos a la pequeña mascota del comediante.

Sin embargo, la mayor parte de los mensajes son de felicitación, pues Chespirito cumplió el martes 83 años.

“Me podría pasar todo el dia viendo sus episodios de El Chavo del Ocho, pero hoy tengo algo mas importante que hacer y es felicitar a una persona que me inspiró durante toda mi infancia. Feliz cumpleaños don Roberto. Dios lo bendiga y siempre lo cuide, de parte de un paisano que lo sigue desde el extranjero en Estados Unidos”, escribió uno de sus tantos seguidores en la red social.

El comediante participará pronto del homenaje que se le rendirá a través del evento América celebra a Chespirito, en el que participan 17 países.

El comediante habló sobre una joven que intuye ser su hija, aunque no se ha realizado las pruebas de ADN

Omar Chaparro enfrentó a la prensa para hablar sobre su presunta hija de 17 años.

“Nunca le he corrido a los medios y doy la cara como ahorita, tampoco nunca lo he negado, efectivamente todo parece indicar que es mi hija, por lo mismo estoy tomando las cosas con responsabilidad, me estoy haciendo responsable, haciéndome cargo de ella”, indicó a Agencia México.

La joven no reclama apoyo económico, sino más bien pide pasar más tiempo con el actor. “También me dicen mis hijos, mi esposa, lo mismo, pero es con lo que tengo que lidiar, es quizá mi desafío de la vida poder dividirme más en las cosas que hago, dedicarle más tiempo a mis hijos”.

Consciente de que debe practicarse una prueba de ADN, el comediante dijo sentir que sí es su hija. “No lo he hecho, pero es algo que tengo que hacer evidentemente, estoy tomando las cartas en el asunto. Realmente tuve la oportunidad de conocerla hace como tres años y algo me dijo que era mi hija, no quise ni siquiera hacerme la prueba”.

Luckily he won’t need to resort to shaving anytime soon: Phelps is the face (and, um, scalp) of the Head & Shoulders “Wash in Confidence” campaign, designed to boost self-esteem through healthy hair. “Head & Shoulders really helps re-moisturize my head, my hair and my scalp,” the athlete says. “It feels good, it feels clean.”

Phelps’s face is on select bottles of Head & Shoulders now, a part of the campaign he calls “kind of weird, strange and cool. I never imagined I’d be on the front of a shampoo bottle.” But he’s happy to be a spokesman for the brand, especially going into the 2012 London summer Olympics.

“Over the last eight months to a year, this is probably the happiest I’ve been since Beijing,” he admits. “I feel confident, I’m excited, I’m training, and I feel like I’m heading in the right direction to be able to accomplish my goals.”

Though the swimmer confirms that these will be his final Olympic games — “I always told myself I would never swim past the age of 30,” the 26-year-old explains — he’s looking forward to accomplishing a lot out of the pool through his Michael Phelps Foundation.

“I’m helping kids live healthy and active lifestyles, and learning how to swim is something I think all kids need,” he says. “It’s fun for me to always be around kids, have them smiling and enjoying themselves, and teaching them that they can do anything they set their minds to.”

Andrew Kaweesi, commander of the Kampala Metropolitan Police Force, said that, based on preliminary toxicology results, officials believe Jeff Rice died of a drug overdose.

Kaweesi said he did not know what drug may have been involved.

An official police statement will be issued Thursday, according to Kaweesi. Rice's body was found late last week in a hotel room, according to reports.

Sally Blackman, Rice's wife and business partner, announced his death Sunday.

"Jeff was on a film production in Uganda and was doing what he loves. ... He was a true asset to the film industry worldwide and Africa was his 'home,'" Blackman wrote. The nature of Rice's work in Kampala was not immediately known.

Earlier Wednesday, Blackman wrote CNN in an e-mail that "this is a tragic event and it is unbelievable to read the messages of how many lives (Rice) has positively influenced."

CNN was trying to contact her and other family members for comment, including their reaction to the assertion Rice died of an overdose.

Rice is survived by daughters, ages 2 and 7.

The U.S. Embassy in Uganda referred questions on the investigation to Kampala police.

Rice, who also served as a production facilitator, and Blackman were co-owners of SB Productions in Durban, South Africa. Rice was a native of Oklahoma.

He worked as a freelance facilitator for the latest season of CBS's "The Amazing Race," which wrapped up shooting months ago. Rice was not working with the show at the time of his death.

Rice served as a production facilitator in 2010 for SyFy's "Destination Truth," the show's executive producer said in a statement. Shooting took place in Madagascar and Namibia.

He also assisted in production of "Whale Wars" for Animal Planet.

"(Jeff) became an absolute expert in how to do productions in countries all over the continent, from Tanzania to Madagascar," said Liz Bronstein, executive producer for Lizard Trading Co., which produces "Whale Wars." Rice "was given a name by the Zulu people: Lengai, which means 'a gift from God." I've never met anyone like Jeff. He made working in the toughest environments look effortless," Bronstein said in a statement.

Bronstein said Rice wrote her e-mails last week from Uganda indicating he planned to be in the country through mid-March.

Magic Johnson said in a conference call Wednesday that Lakers executive Jim Buss, not General Manager Mitch Kupchak, was making the important decisions for the franchise.

"It's not Mitch's situation anymore. Mitch isn't running the team. Jim Buss is running the team," Johnson said. "Mitch has to follow the direction of Jim Buss and what he wants. I wouldn't say Mitch is the problem. He's going to do his job."

Mitch Kupchak has been in the Lakers' front office for 25 years but Buss has gradually been handed more power over the years by his father, team owner Jerry Buss.

Johnson said Jim Buss should meet personally with Kobe Bryant because the 14-time All-Star "just wants to be informed as a leader and future Hall of Famer and a guy who has brought five championships to the Lakers."

"He wants more communication, probably like he did when [former Coach] Phil Jackson was there and he worked well with Mitch. I don't think Kobe feels he has that type of relationship or the communication has been there with Jim. What probably has to happen is they need to sit Kobe down and sit Jim down. Dr. [Jerry] Buss was the master at taking you to lunch or taking you to dinner and going over what he was thinking and what he wanted to do with the team. Jerry West was good at that as well. Kobe, Mitch and Jim just have to get on the same page and things will be OK."

When asked if he would meet with Jim Buss, Bryant responded Wednesday, "Um, perhaps."

"I'm proud of Kobe for being a good teammate and being a good leader and voicing his opinion," said Johnson, who sold his 4.5% ownership stake in the Lakers two years ago but remains on the team payroll as a vice president.

On Wednesday, Bryant clarified why he challenged the front office.

"Nobody else is going to say it, man," Bryant said after the Lakers' shoot-around in Dallas. "I'm the only one with [courage] big enough to say it, so I said it."

Bryant also discussed the brief, informal discussion among Lakers players after their victory Monday against Portland.

"I wouldn't have called it a team meeting," he said. "After the game, guys talked, D-Fish got up and talked, said a couple of words, and that was about it.

"It was just us understanding that we reached the midway point of the year and we really have to lock in on what we have to do and stay focused on ourselves and not let any outside distractions, be it trade talk, be it criticism or whatever the case may be, interfere with what we have to do as a group, as a cohesive unit."

Derek Fisher, Bryant said, was "the one that calls the meetings and does most of the emotional speaking."

Bryant also weighed in on the Lakers' first trip back to Dallas since getting swept here in four games in the Western Conference semifinals last May. The teams play each other Wednesday at American Airlines Center.

One reporter asked if Dallas dinged the Lakers' mystique last season.

"It's tough to put a dent in mystique with all of them [championship] banners," Bryant said. "They had a great year last year. They kicked our butts, that's for darn sure. But we're going to be back at it. We're middle of the pack right now but we have aspirations of being there again in June and seeing this team in the playoffs."

Can the Lakers do it with their current roster?

"Yeah, we can, but we've got to be damn near perfect," Bryant said.

Johnson thought otherwise, saying the team needed to make "one or two trades" before the March 15 deadline.

If the Lakers don't pull off a trade and Jim Buss doesn't communicate with the organization, Johnson remains pessimistic about the Lakers' championship hopes.

"They can compete for the Western Conference championship," said Johnson, who predicted the Miami Heat would win the NBA title. "But if they don't [make a trade], I don't think they'll compete. I think Oklahoma City is better. San Antonio is also playing better than the Lakers right now."

Bryant talked further about Lakers Coach Mike Brown, who has been questioned by some players about his substitution patterns and lack of rest between games.

"It's a constant learning process for him, coming to a group that we know how to play so well together and so forth," Bryant said. "We have certain things that are habitual for us, whether it's pre-game routines and other stuff. They seem shocking to him: 'How the hell did you win championships doing this stuff?' But it works for us. It's just a matter of him kind of getting used to it. He's doing it."

Bryant declined to elaborate.

Brown said he was pleased that the Lakers talked after Monday's game.

"I think it's great," he said. "If they have them in the future, to me I think that's a big positive, but I also do not need to know what they talked about in there."

"Ever since she saw Zoolander, she's been obsessed with making me breakdance," Theroux, 40, told Ellen DeGeneres for Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

To get out of dancing on command, Theroux said, he started insisting that to do the deed he needed to be wearing specific foot gear.

"I have a very particular pair shoes which I breakdance in," Theroux told DeGeneres, adding, "If I don't have my breakin' shoes, I don't breakdance."

But, according to Theroux, on her birthday earlier this month, Aniston would not be deterred and brought out the shoes as soon as they got home after a long celebratory evening.

"At the end of the night, after the whole thing, she said, 'Put on the shoes. Breakdance,' " he said.

Aniston didn't stop there. She surprised Theroux by sending the shoes to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, prompting him to treat the audience to a performance on the spot.

The suit was clearly triggered by Deiondra's Twitter rant earlier this month ... in which she trashed Pilar as a "gold diggin' h*e" ... and publicly accused her of cheating on Deion.

In her lawsuit, Pilar claims Deiondra and Deion have been attacking her with various "emotional weapons" for years ... including dominance, humiliation, isolation, threats, intimidation, denial and blame.

Pilar claims the Twitter rant was just another example of the humiliation she was forced to endure during the marriage ... adding, "[Deion and Deiondra] even persuaded [Pilar] that she was and is worthless, a 'gold diggin' ho, and that no one else would want her."

Pilar also claims the two would intimidate her by leaving various weapons on display around the house and "hurting pets."

The details of the alleged animal abuse are not explained in the suit.

Pilar is demanding $150 MILLION in punitive damages and $50 mil in actual damages.

Meanwhile, the divorce proceedings are still underway.

Durante una audiencia celebrada el miércoles, la jueza le pidió a la actriz que continúe cumpliendo con sus horas de servicio comunitario y asistiendo a las sesiones de terapia que son requeridas como parte de los términos de su probatoria.

¿Estará Drew Barrymore planificando algo además de su boda este año?

La actriz, quien recientemente se comprometió con su novio, Will Kopelman, fue vista saliendo de un doctor con las imágenes de un ultrasonido el fin de semana pasado, como lo publicó TMZ.com. La foto ha inculcado la duda de si la actriz de 36 años está esperando su primer hijo con su futuro esposo.

A la pareja les gustaría ser papás comentó una fuente cercana a la pareja a PEOPLE el mes pasado. “Drew es muy maternal”, dijo la fuente. “A Will le gustaría ser padre. Para él la familia es importante”.

El representante de Barrymore dijo no tener comentarios al respecto.

Aunque podría haber otra explicación por el ultrasonido, Barrymore ya ha considerado comenzar una familia. “Ya puedo escuchar el 'tick tock' del reloj [biológico]”, dijo a PEOPLE en el 2006. “Ya sea si tengo hijos o adopto, no importan en la forma que venga la familia, definitivamente que me gustaría tenerla”.

En semanas recientes, la actriz se ha dejado ver en público en ropa holgada aunque su estilo de moda es primordialmente bohemio. El 18 de febrero, durante el lanzamiento de una nueva línea en la tienda H & M, la actriz respondió si ya había seleccionado su vestido de novia.  “Oh, no sé. Aún estoy pensándolo. Lo único que sé es que deber algo de buen gusto”.

Barrymore comenzó a salir con Kopelman, un consultor de arte en febrero del año pasado.
