If you thought the hero of the 1984 film The Karate Kid was Daniel LaRusso, think again.
A new video argues that Daniel (Ralph Macchio) is actually the film’s top bully, a “violent sociopath who moves to a California town and begins tormenting a local boy and his friends.”
Granted, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) is a “flawed hero,” but it’s Daniel picking all the fights with him and his Cobra Kai pals. You can watch below as, with the help of “demon sorcerer” Mr. Miyagi (a “local busybody, karate master, and child batterer”), Daniel takes them on at the All-Valley Karate Tournament and wins what the narrator refers to as a “tainted blood trophy.”
