The Hunger Games are a brutal fight to the death requiring smarts, resourcefulness and brute strength to win. So if, say, Liam Hemsworth were competing in the Games against his girlfriend Miley Cyrus, who would take it?No contest.
"Probably her," Hemsworth, 22, said on the black carpet alongside Cyrus, 19, at Monday's massive Hunger Games premiere in L.A. "She's a tough girl, that one."
The Aussie actor also marveled at the mania surrounding Games, which drew thousands of screaming fans to the premiere.
"It's like a good punch to the head," he said of the raucous scene, noting that his brother Chris, 28, who starred in last summer's superhero blockbuster Thor, has experienced fan pandemonium in the past.
"My brother had somewhat been through it," said Liam. "And he's always been a big role model in my life. I try to take as much knowledge from him as I can."
Meanwhile, Hunger Games's youngest star – 13-year-old Amandla Stenberg – sought advice from the film's Girl on Fire herself, Jennifer Lawrence.
"I talked to Jen about [the mania]," Stenberg said at the premiere. "And she was like, 'Just be prepared. It is gonna be crazy.' So she did give me a heads-up."
