Wedding Engagements and Proposals
(The Frisky) — Only one month away from her big day, Tara Reid is calling it “Q.” Reid released a statement yesterday to People saying that her May 22 wedding with internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann is off. Why? Not a clue. Maybe he wasn’t down with her Playboy cover? Considering recent divorce rates, this is probably for the best. Better not to tie the knot than to do it with nagging doubt, right? We remember more celebs who never quite made it to the altar.
Top 10 lies men tell women
Jennifer Love Hewitt ended a 13-month engagement to Ross McCall back in January of 2009. I think it was officially the day she shot cupid.
Even supermodels suffer canceled weddings. Rachel Hunter’s fiancé, hockey player Jarret Stoll, got cold feet just seven weeks before the wedding. It couldn’t have been fun for them to inform the guests.
Kayne West is a marriage dropout. He ended his engagement to Alexis Phifer after a year and a half.
Top 10 lies women tell men
I guess Swiss financier Arpad Busson wasn’t the multimillionaire of Uma Thurman’s dreams after all. She broke off their yearlong engagement because she wasn’t “in a rush to do anything.”
No one was laughing when Christina Ricci called off her wedding plans after a big fight with fiancé comedian Owen Benjamin.
Do beautiful people only date beautiful people?
Mary-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan never quite made it to the wedding planning phase of their engagement, but the two reportedly remained friends after they split. That’s more than her ex Billy Crudup can say.
No one was really surprised when Jamie Lynn Spears broke off her shotgun engagement to baby daddy Casey Aldridge. Maybe she learned something from her big sis after all.
Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer decided it would be best for them not to play “House” off set. They ended their engagement after appearing on the cover of InStyle Weddings. Eek.
15 words even better than “[you’re] beautiful”
In true Megan Fox style, she got engaged to boyfriend Brian Austin Green without any plans to marry. The couple announced that they had split about a year ago, but then took it back saying they were still an item. Last June, Megan said she was single again. As usual, I’m completely perplexed. The only thing I know for sure: These two have never made it down the aisle and I don’t suspect they will.
