El Presidente Felipe Calderón Hinojosa inauguró el Tianguis Turístico México 2012, que es la principal plataforma de negocios del sector turístico de América Latina, y afirmó que nuestro país está llamado a ser una potencia mundial en materia turística por la gran riqueza cultural, de recursos naturales y por la calidez de nuestra gente.El Tianguis Turístico México, que se realiza en la sede compartida Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit hasta el 28 de marzo, reúne a compradores nacionales y extranjeros interesados en la oferta turística de México, como la Ruta Maya, las Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad, los Pueblos Mágicos, las Rutas Gastronómicas, el turismo de aventura y los destinos de sol y playa, entre otros.
En su mensaje inaugural, el Presidente Felipe Calderón aseguró que la itinerancia del Tianguis permitirá promover a todos los destinos turísticos de nuestro país sin distinción, y será sin duda una importante fuente de oportunidades de negocios.
Destacó que este evento arroja resultados positivos al permitir la generación de empleos y el ingreso de divisas al país, condiciones indispensables para mejorar la calidad de vida de las familias.
El mandatario también agradeció el esfuerzo y la participación de quienes se sumaron al Acuerdo Nacional por el Turismo, herramienta que marca el camino a seguir para fortalecer la industria turística de México.
En la ceremonia inaugural, la Secretaria de Turismo, Gloria Guevara Manzo, dijo que México vive un momento histórico para el desarrollo del turismo, ya que el apoyo y compromiso del Presidente de la República a esta actividad no tiene precedente; así lo ha demostrado la firma del Acuerdo Nacional por el Turismo, la declaración de 2011 como el Año del Turismo en México y la celebración del tianguis Turístico itinerante.
Por su parte, el Gobernador de Nayarit, Roberto Sandoval Castañeda, destacó que es un honor para Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit ser la sede compartida del primer tianguis itinerante de nuestro país, que permitirá mostrar al mundo las riquezas de nuestro país.
A su vez, el Gobernador de Jalisco, Emilio González Márquez, destacó que México un lugar mágico y por ello debemos compartir con todo el mundo las riquezas de nuestra cultura, naturaleza y calidez de nuestra gente.
Pablo Azcárraga Andrade, presidente del Consejo Nacional Empresarial Turístico, hizo un reconocimiento al Presidente Felipe Calderón por impulsar la firma del Acuerdo Nacional por el Turismo y colocar al turismo como una actividad estratégica.
Dijo que el Acuerdo es una herramienta que fortalecerá la actividad turística del país, y destacó que ante la elevada competitividad en el sector turístico internacional, nuestro país tiene el reto de redoblar esfuerzos para mejorar la calidad de los servicios turísticos.
A la ceremonia de inauguración del Tianguis Turístico México 2012 asisten también los Gobernadores de Quintana Roo, Roberto Borge Angulo; Sinaloa, Mario López Valdéz; Tabasco, Andrés Granier Melo; Morelos, Marco Antonio Adame; de Zacatecas, Miguel Alonso Reyes, así como el Senador Raúl Mejía, de la Comisión de Turismo; y el Diputado Federal Carlos Joaquín González, Presidente de la Comisión de Turismo en San Lázaro, además de empresarios y autoridades del sector turismo de todo el país.
Al Tianguis Turístico 2012 asisten representantes de países como Alemania, Argentina, Austria, Brasil, Canadá, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Corea, España, Estados Unidos, Francia, Italia, Japón, Países Bajos, Reino Unido, Suiza y Venezuela, entre otros.
El Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Vallarta ofrece 16 mil 100 metros cuadrados de área de exposición y 5 mil metros cuadrados espacios para conferencias, business center, registro y oficinas (en 2011 hubo 14 mil metros cuadrados).
El Tianguis itinerante permitirá fortalecer la industria turística nacional, mejorar su competitividad en el mercado mundial y promover todos los destinos turísticos de México.
