There have been conflicting reports as to whether Robben, whose current deal expires in 2013, will extend his stay in Germany after public criticism over his performances and apparent problems with Heynckes.
However, the 28-year-old has said that he is not currently considering offers from other clubs and Heynckes believes an agreement is close.
"I personally assume Arjen will put pen to paper sometime over the coming rounds (of games)," Heynckes told a press conference. "I think that he has shown again how important he is for Bayern."
The Bild newspaper has reported that Robben is set to sign an extension until 2015.
