Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has urged Andy Carroll to deal better with his frustration after being booed, booked and substituted during a 2-0 defeat against former club Newcastle.

Carroll, who made a £35 million move to Liverpool in January 2011, walked straight down the tunnel and removed his shirt after being subbed for Dirk Kuyt with Liverpool trailing to two from Papiss Demba Cisse.
The England striker was booked early on for diving in attempt to win a penalty as Liverpool crashed to a sixth defeat in seven Premier League games.
Goalkeeper Pepe Reina was later sent off for an attempted headbutt and Dalglish said the reaction of his players was borne out of disappointment but insisted they must channel that irritation into more positive performances.
"Andy came off and went down the tunnel," said Dalglish. "He was frustrated with the way the game had gone. Not just for himself but for the team. That frustration takes him up into the dressing room.
"We have not got a problem with people showing desperation or disappointment or frustration. But we need to channel it better than we have done.
"We started well enough. We passed and moved and looked quite threatening but it ended with a lot of frustration and disappointment and I think that was a result of the actions that Pepe [Reina] took. He got a deserved a red card."
On Carroll's booking, Dalglish added: "I don't think it was a penalty but neither did I think Andy was trying to get a penalty. The decision not to give a penalty was correct but it was harsh to show him a yellow card, he was always struggling to keep his balance."
Reina's red card means he will miss the FA Cup semi-final against Everton.
