Honey Boo Boo and Glitzy the pig.

The 6-year-old beauty queen, better known as Honey Boo Boo, had to give her pet pig Glitzy back to his breeder in a dramatic departure that unfolded on Wednesday’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
“I don’t want him to go,” she sobbed, as her father, nicknamed Sugar Bear, carried her four-legged friend away kicking and squealing (watch below). Just earlier, the pint-sized TLC star gushed to her nail-polish-bedazzled pal, “Glitzy we’re going to be the prettiest girls at the pageant.”
Honey Boo Boo’s mom, June Shannon – a.k.a. the “Coupon Queen” – hinted that Glitzy’s days in their McIntyre, Ga., home were numbered in a sneak peek at the episode. She was losing beauty sleep over the teacup pig, who woke her up at dawn looking for food. “Hello, I’m asleep,” she said. “I ain’t got time to feed your a–.”
Plus, Honey Boo Boo wasn’t pitching in enough when it came to raising the piglet (although she sweetly napped next to him in his pen).
Although Honey Boo Boo and her father were sad about parting ways with Glitzy, the Southern belle later admitted that the animal, who was supposed to be her weapon-of-choice on the pageant circuit, deserved a better home. Still, she said, “The thing I love about Glitzy is that she [sic] loves me.”
As for Glitzy, he’s back hanging with his “piggy friends and family” at the Georgia-based Posh Pigs, according to the breeder’s website. On his to-do list: dips in a kiddie pool and visits with a resident Chihuahua.
Honey Boo Boo’s former BFF will be given a new home, and, according to the website, bids will be taken in the next three weeks. Proceeds for Glitzy will be donated to a pig rescue.
