So when Prince William and Princess Kate stopped by the Old Boot Inn in Kate’s hometown of Bucklebury for a midday bite a few weeks ago, the couple gleefully sneaked in a little one-on-one time away from their 14-month-old “rascal” Prince George.
Kate “was looking as well as ever and was really talkative,” an observer tells PEOPLE.
“People were going up to them for a quick chat, and they were in good form. They both seemed very happy.”
Now much of the world knows why.
On Sept. 8 William and Kate, both 32, revealed that another little prince – or princess! – is on the way, just two months after celebrating George’s first birthday.
As with Kate’s first pregnancy, however, the timing of the announcement was not of the couple’s choosing: Once again Kate is battling hyperemesis gravidarum, the form of severe morning sickness that landed her in the hospital during the early days of her pregnancy with George.
