Known for his fanciful characters and outlandish costumes, Johnny Depp does it again as Tonto in The Lone Ranger.In a new photograph from Disney's upcoming fictional western, the actor, 48, is wearing elaborate face paint – and a bird on his head – for his role as the Native American sidekick to Armie Hammer's Lone Ranger character.
Hammer, 25, who goes by the alter ego John Reid when he's not the Ranger, is joined by Depp's character on a quest to fight injustice in the American Old West.
The film, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, hits theaters in May 2013. – Dahvi Shira
