Los Ángeles, California.- El legendario dueto del cine hollywoodense, Time Burton y Johnny Depp, regresa a la pantalla grande con 'Sombras misteriosas', una comedia que narra la vida de un joven atractivo quien rompe el corazón de una bruja, por lo que le echa una maldición y lo convierte en vampiro.
El tráiler de la película que fue lanzado el viernes, es una adaptación de la serie de terror homónima aparecida entre 1966 y 1971 y creada por Dan Curtis. Sin embargo, Burton aseguró que su versión será más cómica que gótica.
En el largometraje, Depp interpretará a 'Barnabas Collins', quien fue maldecido por una bruja y para darle una lección y recordarle que nunca se debe despreciar a una mujer, la despechada hechicera lo convierte en un vampiro y lo entierra vivo.
El reparto se completa con Elena Bonham Cartera, esposa e inseparable actriz de Burton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green y Jackie Earle Haley.
El estreno en Estados Unidos está anunciado para mayo.
Bruton y Johnny Depp no volvían a trabajar juntos desde 'Alicia en el país de las maravillas' (2010) y han creado películas como 'El joven manos de tijeras', 'Ed Wood', 'La leyenda del jinete sin cabeza', 'Charly y la fábrica de chocolate' y 'Sweeney Todd', entre otras.
