Geyser, along with her friend Anissa Weier, also 12, were arrested for stabbing their classmate 19 times as an homage to an online fictional character known as Slender Man. The girl survived and the pair has been charged as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for the May 31 attack.
Psychiatrist Kenneth Robbins testified that Geyser “looked happy, almost giddy at times, despite what appeared to be rather stressful circumstances” during their interview, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Robbins added that Geyser’s primary concern is her relationship with Slender Man. She is more concerned about angering the online character – not a possible prison sentence.
Geyser will be committed to the state Department of Health Services for mental health treatment and will review her progress at a Nov. 12 hearing.
Meanwhile, the 12-year-old girl, who has remained unidentified for her protection, continues to heal at her Wisconsin home where she continues to receive purple heart-shaped well-wishes from all over the world.
