Tinsel, beanies, trees and knits: The Gap Factory holiday ads have officially gotten us in the mood for the holidays. And Chrissy Teigen (who stars in the upcoming ads with Victor Cruz, Chanel Iman, Noah Mills and longtime Gap Factory face George Kotsiopolous) is sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the sweet (and often silly) shoot, as well as sharing her thoughts on all things gift-y this season.

“I have actually never bought anything from Gap Factory,” Teigen shares with a laugh, “and thank God that now I’m an ambassador of Gap Factory, I don’t have to!” She’s equally candid about the worst gift she ever got (“Who would ever judge gifts? Aside from me!” she jokes, before spilling all in the video below) and the styles she’s going to borrow from set — all of which she shared on a break from the David LaChapelle-helmed photoshoot.
Teigen also confesses that she doesn’t often do much straight modeling anymore, but she couldn’t resist the chance to come out of her semi-retirement to work with the whole team. “I don’t wanna brag, but I don’t really do a ton of modeling these days, but when I hear something with such a wonderful group — Victor Cruz, Chanel Iman, David LaChapelle — how do you turn that down? It’s impossible, there’s no way,” she says. “I would’ve never met these people otherwise … I could work with any group of people, but I want to have a fun workday, I want to work for a company that I’m proud of, and clothes that I love, and it just happened to be the perfect storm of all these things.”

“My personal favorite wardrobe staple would definitely be my flat black boots,” Teigen says, “I have four dogs, I have to walk them all the time, they’re something I can throw on with any outfit and make it easy.” Watch the video below for some signature Teigen answers — including why she loves the black jumpsuit better than anything else she tried on — and know that she couldn’t even begin to start her holiday wish list, because husband John Legend spoils her so much that she doesn’t want for anything. And perhaps the best tidbit of all? Teigen’s Christmas morning outfit: “I’m naked,” she says. “I’m an adult now, so when I wake up for Christmas morning, I’m naked! Not a onesie, that’s for sure.”
