Was she getting ready for a busy Oscar weekend? Best Actress nominee Rooney Mara was mingling at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, casually dressed in a brown sweater. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star was deeply engaged in conversation with friends at her table. Mara, who spoke quietly at her table and enjoyed two glasses of red wine, wasn't with boyfriend Charlie McDowall, but two male visitors did pop by to say hello. She also got a hug from Patricia Clarkson, who was dining at a nearby table.

Also there that night: Ryan Phillippe, who was enjoying drinks with five friends on the patio. Dressed in jeans and a casual white T-shirt, the actor, who is set to appear in Jimmy Kimmel's post-Oscar special, would occasionally glance at his phone but was otherwise absorbed in conversation with his pals.
