When Miley Cyrus swore that her short hair was here to stay, she must have whispered “for now” under her breath.
In a conversation with Kelly Osbourne for E!’s Fashion Police, Cyrus admitted that she’s ready to bring back her long locks, saying “I’m secretly tugging on it every night and taking [hair growth vitamin supplement] Viviscal, I’m not going to lie. But I’m going to rock it while I have it.”

That’s not the only hair-related opinion about which the star has abruptly changed tacks. Back in February, Cyrus declared war on her hair extensions, saying “I wish somebody would have ripped those out of my head. I do not miss that in any way.” But in the most recent interview, Cyrus confesses, “I love a good weave. I can’t help it, I love a good piece. But I don’t have anything to clip [it to].”
For the time being, she’s happy to be blazing trails for sexy short-haired girls everywhere. “Doing the cover of Maxim and having short hair, I feel like I’m speaking on behalf of girls everywhere, breaking this, like, stereotype.” But now that Beyoncé and Coco Rocha have gone the pixie route themselves, it appears she’s ready to step down from her role as short-haired spokeswoman.
