In the duo’s first promo for the Jan. 13 awards show, their brand of quirky comedy shines through.
“Amy Poehler and I are very excited to be hosting the Golden Globes this year,” Fey begins.
“Because it’s the greatest celebrity party slash awards show in all of Hollywood!” Poehler adds.
“We’re so excited, we’re going to be speaking in classic Hollywood voices for all our banter!” Fey says.
With nominees announced Thursday, Anne Hathaway and Sally Field (for their respective supporting roles in Les Misérables and Lincoln), Nicole Kidman (for HBO’s Hemingway and Gellhorn and the film The Paperboy), Leonardo DiCaprio (for his supporting role in Django Unchained) and Argo director Ben Affleck were all recognized.
The awards, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will air live from the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 13.
