What to watch: Olympics Day 11

Jordyn and Aly flip across the floor, Lolo looks for redemption on the track, and Misty and Kerri try to make it three in-a-row in beach as they head to the semis. Here’s what we’re watching on Day 11.

Women’s Gymnastics: Floor – After failing to qualify for the all-around, Jordyn Wieber looks for gold medal redemption on the floor. She’s not even the favorite from her own team, a title owned by top-qualifier Aly Raisman, but both could find themselves in the medals with missteps from favorites like Romanians Catalina Ponor and Sandra Izbasa.

Women’s 100m Hurdles – Lolo Jones was two seconds from victory in Beijing before she clipped the penultimate hurdle and stumbled to seventh place. She hopes to go for gold again Tuesday night, but Olympic champion Dawn Harper will look to defend her title and the 2011 world champ, Sally Pearson from Australia, will aim to leave them both in her dust.

Beach Volleyball: semifinals – Both American teams are still alive for the semis Tuesday night, as back-to-back champs Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings face the Chinese pair of Xue Chen and Zhang Xi and the young upstarts April Ross and Jen Kessy take on Brazilian top seeds Larissa Franca and Juliana Felisberta Silva.

Men’s 1500m – Medal contender Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria was expelled from the Games for not giving his best effort in the 800m Monday, but was reinstated after proving a knee issue. Now he’ll race for the podium against top Kenyans Asbel Kiprop, Silas Kiplagat, and unknown entity Nixon Chepseba, who could surprise everyone to steal a medal.

Men’s Soccer: South Korea vs. Brazil – South Korea knocked out the hometown Brits in a penalty-kick heartbreaker. Now the Koreans could ruin Brazil’s chance at their first soccer gold when the two nations face off Tuesday night. Brazil has knocked in three goals in each Group contest, while South Korea has only scored three the whole Olympics.
