GLENDALE, Ariz. — Hyun-Jin Ryu and Joel Peralta are expected to throw bullpen sessions on Monday, manager Don Mattingly said Saturday.
Ryu played catch for the second day after missing two days with mid-back stiffness. Peralta hasn’t thrown off a mound in a month after experiencing shoulder stiffness working out in the Dominican Republic before Spring Training.
Meanwhile, Zack Greinke threw a 32-pitch bullpen session as he picks up momentum after missing a few days at the opening of camp because of a precautionary elbow injection.
Throwing alongside Greinke in the bullpen was Brandon McCarthy, who said he will face live hitters next before pitching in a game.
